Kyle's friend Evangeline came for a visit this evening. She brought (our) Evangeline a comic book called "Evangeline". So we had a lovely time Evangelineing it up.

Lenten Wreath

I put up a Lenten wreath. I've never seen one, and don't know if it's "proper", or if one day I'll discover it has some vague pagan parallels. I just thought it would be nice to announce our church season to all our visitors and neighbors.

And, I like to think that one day I can watch Evangeline thread the purple ribbon through the reeds with her tiny little fingers.

Or at least that's his working title. Grandma Becky and Grandpa Dave gave Evangeline a bear to take her picture with each month so we can see how she grows. Here is the result:

 ...Evangeline and her little friend Linus, who is 6 days her junior. He remained calm and distant (and super cute) throughout the photo shoot.

More of the same?

I guess this is what Evangeline does right now, so here's more of it (I don't know why she always sneezes in these videos). She's had a few near-laughs, but of course I can never get it on video. Pretty soon, I expect.

More road time

More family time! We (Dave, Becky, Ellee, Evangeline...Kyle stayed home to preach) went to Jefferson City yesterday to deliver a boat to Joel and Pam (Dave and Becky brought it from Tennessee) and see Lydia and Adam's new baby Micah. He's doing well after a little trouble starting off and will get to go home on Friday. He is adorable. After the hospital, we went to Zach's going away party. He's deployed to Afghanistan for a year, and everyone was there to send him off. So, Evangeline got to meet some more of her family and spend time with her grandparents.

A nice weekend. Just too short.
