Vacation!

Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Mietzner, we're on vacation for 3 days in Kitty Hawk, NC. This is what we've done so far:

Glass Ceiling

We don't even have to go do anything here. There's too much to explore within the room.

Never had more fun.

We also did have church today:

She was looking up at the ceiling and laughing a lot. OK.

Evangeline made it up to dad during Bible study.

She quite likes this one and is even able to play peek-a-boo (pee-pie)* with the hood.

Oh The Heat

It was 80-some degrees today. Greensboro, this does not make liking you easy. It is supposed to be the same tomorrow, both of these days with very high humidity. Not fun. At least I can put Evangeline in snowman PJs.

I was thisclose to getting a picture of her teef...she's tricky.

This Little Baby Went

Three teeth. Two on bottom, one (or maybe two?) on top. I'm officially in the danger zone.

She's still as eager as ever to show off her new chiclets.

Make a Note

When I post pictures later, you'll see that today we went to the doctor with Evangeline's great-grandparents. We also went to the store and ran some general errands around Asheville. Whilst in the grocery store, I made a note to myself to make a note about how almost everyone we encounter has the same comment about Evangeline: "She's so observant." I'm really surprised how many people say it. Today I heard it at least three times: from a patient-in-waiting at the doctor, a 20-something guy shopping for produce, and a woman standing by the canned artichokes. when Evangeline is older and begging me to tell her what she was like when she was a baby, I guess my answer will be "observant." She'll probably find this answer boring.

Another Asheville Day

We had another great day in Asheville. Great Grandaddy continues to improve, Great Grandma continues to take care of us all, and the weather is autumnal and fresh and beautiful. The Tennessee grandparents left today, so Evangeline and I get the Great-Grands all to ourselves.

Alas, there is still no camera cord, so please enjoy these pictures taken by grandma Becky on Sunday. And they are sideways and I can't fix it. :)

Other Things Mom Forgot

Her toy bag. But lucky for Evangeline, Aunt Carol collected some toys from some of her little friends.

Asheville!

Evangeline is in Asheville visiting her great grandparents, as her great-grandaddy recently took a spill. He's doing great, and she'll be here visiting until Thursday.

Oh and her mom forgot to bring the cord for the camera, so imagine Evangeline visiting with her great-grandparents and then see if it matches up with the actual pictures on Thursday. Fun!
