Overheard...

The girls singing "It's a Hard-knock Life" while cleaning their room.

Because they had to clean their room before watching American Ninja Warrior on TV.

With popcorn and ice cream.

And then they didn't even really clean it.

But are presently watching American Ninja Warrior on TV.

With popcorn and ice cream.

Spot the Difference

Can you spot TWO differences between this pic and the last one you saw of Agnes?

If you answered "two tiny bottom teeth", you win!

Yesterday I thought she was eating a sticker and when I fished around in her mouth I found zero stickers and two teeth. Another victory for sneaky baby teeth.

Concerts and Cats

Irene and Evangeline gave us a couple of short but respectable concerts last night. Guess if they ended in crying.

You can pull and push a baby on the floor, but you can't make her crawl.

Ready for a bike ride.

Cat watching winter rain. Most sensible thing that has happened here all morning.

Adventure Baby

Agnes got a new jean jacket and Irene said she looks like "Adventure Baby".

We also have had a great visit from Aunt Beth. She FINALLY got to see Frozen, and did a bunch of general spoiling of the nieces. Sadly, she leaves tomorrow so we have to go back to normal life.

These pictures are in serious need of editing, but there is something in each of them that I like and I'm not in a very decisive mood, so you can put your hand over the ones you find superfluous.

Birthday Sister Visit

Today we got to hang out with Agnes' birthday sister, Harbor (oh and Heidi, Josh, Miranda and Aunt Punky too). It was a fun and delicious day. And Aunt Punky swept our house.

Though petite, Harbor can crawl and has teeth. Agnes can merely look on in awe.
Agnes may have won the hand-chewing competition
Out for lunch at Moose's Tooth. Agnes ordered the Rosemarie appetizer.
Happy to comply.
And sample a little baby.
Irene can always make a baby smile. (Maybe she needs to work her magic on that lady and her salad.)

Irene was sold on the Thai Chicken pizza. Also feat. Josh's arm.
Miranda in her natural habitat. Heidi, Harbor and Kyle merely tourists.

Mrs. Biebles!

Agnes! 8 months (tomorrow)

Everyone notes that Agnes is the Best Baby Ever. It's true. Even her sisters would agree. Especially her sisters would agree. She is almost eight months old and still more interested in sitting quietly playing with toys and things than crawling. Food food is still just ok to her, though she did manage to navigate a blueberry into her mouth tonight and seemed pretty proud of it. She smiles and laughs all the time and cries oh so rarely. No one can resist her baby Agnes ways.

Her Wolfy ways. That is not a tooth in her mouth.
Not sure what to do about the hair in the eyes...
...and back here is just...we don't know.

What she lacks in crawling, she makes up for in trying out a new laugh.

Eleventh Day of Christmas

It is the Eleventh Day of Christmas, so I decided a good gift would be to learn a new app so that I can blog more easily on the iPad. Merry Christmas!

I don't feel like I can adequately fill in the last few months, but maybe I will work on that later. For now, I'll post some Christmas, etc. pictures...and that's just how I'll start what is hopefully a new era in my dwindling posts.

Evangeline learned to tie a bow!
Irene LOVES to write...napping with pencil in hand just in case.
Agnes napping with a few friends.
First Christmas program at Zion! You can see shepherd Irene and angel Evangeline (if to look really hard). The angels would not have been able to sing without Evangeline.
Agnes nervously awaits their debut.
Christmas!
Best Christmas picture.
Agnes can't keep her eyes off the 24-foot tree.
A real fireplace for stockings.
Stockings!
Stockings!
A wee stare at the tree before church on Christmas morning.
Present from Scotland!
Operation is a lot quieter now.
Girls finally got a Pegasus for Christmas.
Evangeline finally got a disco ball for her birthday...
Present princess frenzy
6 years old!
Agnes fell asleep while jumping.
