Back To Reality

Well, we survived our first day without grandma and grandpop. Evangeline seemed disappointed when she realized they weren't here, but also seemed a bit pleased that her mother went back to some of her previous mothering duties. There seemed to be a lot more crying today, however. Right now she's asleep and Kyle is over at the house with Mike and Carol, putting together a kitchen...there are a few pictures of Evangeline being a huge help with the kitchen building process. I'll get them tomorrow and post them. Evangeline ate maybe 10 huge strawberries today.

Farewell to Grandparents

Dear Grandmother, I have so enjoyed eating yogurt from your hand every morning for nearly the last two months.

We had better get as much work done in here before grandpop leaves as we can.

She found out that she can eat an apple. Teeth are good.

Asheville Trip

We took a quick trip to Asheville to see the relatives and the Biltmore Estate. We had a great time visiting and viewing and Evangeline got to do a lot of animal petting. But the biggest news is that Evangeline got a job as a guard for the royal wedding...she knows it's a big job but figures it can't be that hard.

Easter Tuesday

Here are a few more pictures from the weekend. I didn't manage to take any today. But tomorrow we're on our way to Asheville and Uncle Mike (and Aunt Carol and great-grandparents), which means lots of great pictures. Evangeline did feed her doll dinner tonight, which was quite cute.

Here's another picture of the house, with a similar picture for comparison. The main improvements in this room are the heating/cooling unit above window, the door has been moved (you can't see that here) oh and a little new paint. Next up: refinishing floors. 

Easter Dinner

Here are some more pictures from Easter, including a few of our new-but-not-quite-ready house. So what if there's no kitchen? You can still enjoy a very nice dinner there. Evangeline kept herself busy wandering around the expanse and begging bites every once in a while.

After Easter Vigil, Evangeline had a hard time believing it was Easter already, and kept a good distance from her Easter basket for a good long while. She did finally warm up to the idea. We'll see if we can lure her into an Easter egg hunt tomorrow. But the most important part of the night: He Is Risen!

Granny Overload

Have we met? Ah yes, you are my grandparents from TN. Glad to meet you again. Have you met my other set of grandparents? Lets see, now I will do things that had been previously prohibited, such as sit in this toy baby crib and pick my nose. Seriously, I get to have four grandparents adore me? Alright. This is great.

Wheee!

Finally interested in playing with her shell toy, Evangeline spent a lot of time on it saying "wheeee!" in the proper high "wheeee!" voice. Until I got out the camera.
