Legs

Evangeline seems to be discovering she has legs. She likes to "stand" a lot more now. Today she tried out her friend's baby stander thing. She liked it a lot.I thought she'd be a bit overwhelmed by all the stuff on it. She wasn't.
Notice her little feet.

This is too good to be true...

Happy Mother's Day!

We love you, moms!
Evangeline loves you, grandmoms!

Puppy and Baby. What could be cuter?

Today Kyle gave me this Holy Angels icon. He also gave me one of the Holy Family. They are beautiful. I like having this above Evangeline's cradle. We can see it every night as we pray "Let your holy angel be with me, that the evil foe may have no power over me."

Mornings...

...are so much better now that we have a smiling, silly baby to wake up to every day.

Welcome Back to Raspberry City

Evangeline had something of a raspberry renaissance these last few days. Anytime there is a lull in conversation, raspberries. First thing waking up, raspberries. Falling asleep, raspberries. Just hanging out, raspberries. But, of course it is hard to capture. Here's a try:

Typical Frog-in-the-Box moment. But cute.

This one is a little more spirited. And spitty.

This is blurry, but it is Evangeline falling asleep mid-raspberry. Wow.

Pacify Her!

Evangeline is a pacifier-using baby! Maybe we'll regret it later, but I'm glad she likes it, as it really helps her get to sleep. We're trying to keep it for bed time (and maybe in church, and maybe on the airplane...) and naps only. We'll see.
Sleepy eyes

See how happy?

One of our friends described his baby sleeping as like an alien who read a book about humans and it said that they sleep with their arms by their sides. It probably looks something like this:
Goodnight.

Almost Jump-Up

The Girl has got a while to go before she can work the Johnny Jump Up properly. But she gave it a good try. Her dad still looks pretty pleased.

Note the feet...

Four Month Stats

Weight: 13.9 lbs
Length: 25.5 inches
Head: 16 inches
Astute observation by doctor: "She's tall and thin...like her dad."
Overall: Cute!
Shots: No problem!

We were dreading bringing her to get her shots all day. The exam was great, she was smiley and fine. She drank the Rotavirus vaccine fine, but had a hard time with the Tylenol (of all things). She cried for approximately 10 seconds after her two shots, then fell asleep for 3 hours, then woke up like nothing ever happened. Good girl. Silly parents.

Evangeline right after her shots. "What is everyone looking at?"

About a minute later.

Waking up three hours later. Smiles.

And cute pictures from Sam Morning:
 Buddies.
Hugs and kisses from Sam.
