Naptime

Can you spot the napper?

But who could nap when exciting stuff is going on in the back yard?

Dad planting one of his new peach trees.

And they already have peaches!
Kyle chopped down a huge tree/bush (20 feet) in our back yard. With his new hatchet. Today he planted the two peach trees that Beth and Jim sent for his birthday. We think it'd perhaps be nice to put a picnic table between them. Kyle also noted that our back yard looks pretty crazy. But it's getting there. He's doing a great job working on it considering it's very hot and very extremely mosquito-y.

Practice Room

Kyle kinneared Evangeline when she was in her box today. So I guess we can assume she's pretty happy in there, just a girl and her piano.

Think Pink

Well, we caved. I had another ultrasound today (due to squirmy baby last time, they couldn't get a couple of pictures they needed). Everything looks good and at the last minute we decided to find out if "it" is a boy or girl. She is a girl. Evangeline seems ok with this new development, though she might be a little annoyed that she will have to share her room for a lot longer now. We're delighted and agree that it's quite nice knowing she's a she.
Kyle had been gardening and Evangeline had gotten very
sweaty and dirty at the playground. They went to the store looking like this.

at a pink table with.
Keepin' it cool.

Baby's First...

beater. And in the bath, too.

And, modelling the cute new dress that
Grandma M made for her.

Relaxing

We've noticed the last couple of weeks that before Evangeline lets us know she's awake in the morning, she can be found lying in bed, petting her stuffed animal or reading (we tuck a couple of books in the corner of her crib after she's asleep at night) or just staring up and pointing at the birdies on her curtain. And here we thought she woke up and immediately wanted us to come and get her.

Twinkle

The fourth time or so they watched this little video tonight, I had to record it.

Backyard

Post bath mania.

Bluebird on my shoulder.

Her new thing is going and washing her hands for minutes on end.

Alright, here are some photos of the garden.
I suppose this is why we put these things in the backyard...
so that the neighbors don't have to see it.
It looks pretty crazy... but I promise it isn't really that bad.
Peppers on bottom, rosemary on top.

Tomatoes that Evangeline helped me plant.

Eggplant.
