After Church

We interrupt this idyllic post to tell you that as of tomorrow, we'll be staying at our real house. We won't have internet for a week (and we're just getting our location changed...why are they so prompt when you are starting a new account? Hm.). Anyway, we'll do our best.

Moving

Moving again. While we're more than excited to be in our own house, moving is not exciting. On one hand, it is tedious to load all our stuff up. On the other hand, it is a lot of work for Kyle moving stuff over there (Pastor Haugen is helping on Monday). On the other hand, we've once again got lots of stuff we don't need. On the other hand moving means home sweet home by Monday. On the other hand, I am pregnant and tired. On the other hand, Evangeline loves unpacking boxes--before they're moved. That's a lot of hands, and most of them aren't good. But we are exceedingly thankful that we get to move into our  little house, and look forward to the time we'll spend in it. Oh and one other hand is that we're not looking forward to cluttering up our place with our beloved belongings. But we'll get through it and kick back by Tuesday. And then the unpacking...

Here are some pictures of the kitchen. It still needs some work, but is ready enough for now. Kyle did a great job and it is beautiful and I love it. I'm really amazed. He's still got to build the counter over the water heater, and we're waiting for that counter top and one other counter top to come in. We've got some trim work and window and door frame painting to do and some other stuff. We're putting up some more shelves, too. But here it is for now. The only question for us was to take pictures once we've cluttered it up with our things or when there's still building stuff around. We chose the latter. Enjoy.

Refrigerator and counter top-less furniture.

We had to find a little table to place next to the stove. It is
a bit awkward looking but will work a charm.
Sunny kitchen!
Our first piece of shabby furniture in our new house.
First Yuengling for Evangeline to spill.
Not bad.
Checking out her closet
This ain't too bad
I hope it stays like this.
New fan downstairs. We only stared at ceiling fans for about
45 minutes before panic buying this one. After we bought a different
one and returned it 2 minutes later. I think we made a good choice.

I Don't Know Why Not

Sometimes, after hearing some banging around in the other room, The Girl brings in rather surprising things.

How Much?

How much yogurt is too much for a baby? Evangeline's answer: invalid question.

The Yogurt Kid strikes again.
How much water should a baby drink from the faucet
while in the bath?

Smile!

She's getting good a smiling for the camera.

This is kind of an amazing photo.

We went to the library today, where Evangeline can really get her hands on a computer (and maybe her mouth a little bit too...yuck). She doesn't know what a mouse (computer) is, though. She also got a load of books that she doesn't seem very interested in. I got two books that I'm interested in, though. Now if she'll just give me a little time to read them.

Sweaty Day

Today it was 90-something degrees. We did a lot of sweating around here today. But then we ate ice cream, so it all worked out.

And she got this feminist sticker at the grocery store.
