Behold

The Cuteness:

 Linus and Evangeline

Happy Frohna July

Our last available Sunday here, we decided to finally go down to Frohna and look around at all the Lutheran sites. We went to Concordia, where great grandpa Wenger was pastor, and Grandma and her brothers and sister were baptized. Now we will have a picture in our minds of the country, the church, and Die Kleine Schule when Grandma Ernst talks about them. The people there remembered Grandma's visit there a few years ago. Evangeline seemed very interested in everything (really!) and the museum guide even commented on how she was looking at all the pictures and artifacts. He was also glad that she is going to be an organist. Oh and it was hot.

The tour guide cracked the safe for us to show us an original chalice.

The Day My Computer Wouldn't Work.

Today is a day that my computer refuses to get pictures from my camera. This is quite frustrating.  But never fear, we've still got some pictures to catch up on:

It's hard to take a picture of swinging. But she liked it/was scared.

July 2...

Happy anniversary Grandma Carol and Grandpop!

We celebrated the anniversary by going to a July 2 Fourth of July party. We said goodbye to some good friends, and Evangeline got this awesome onesie:

We had a great day. But saying goodbye is no fun.

Alaska Week 4/Back Home

So, we're back. What a great time we had. We are quite tired, so I'll just post some pictures from the trip for now. But, I do have to say that Evangeline might just be the Best Baby Ever. She made not one peep during the flights back. She loved the flight from Kenai--looked around and out the window the whole time, slept through half the Anchorage-Chicago flight (but was wakened by a crying baby, ha ha) and charmed the stewardesses the other half, and fell asleep just before the Chicago-St. Louis flight and didn't wake up till we got home. Girl, you're a pleasure to fly with. Now if I can only get her to start sleeping again...

 Ready to go.

Saying bye to Uncles Seth and Jesse at the airport

She didn't even wake up to look at Denali.

 Home at last. Still asleep.

Oh yeah. Then we went to the carillon concert. It was so warm I forgot to bring a blanket.
