Happy Frohna July

Our last available Sunday here, we decided to finally go down to Frohna and look around at all the Lutheran sites. We went to Concordia, where great grandpa Wenger was pastor, and Grandma and her brothers and sister were baptized. Now we will have a picture in our minds of the country, the church, and Die Kleine Schule when Grandma Ernst talks about them. The people there remembered Grandma's visit there a few years ago. Evangeline seemed very interested in everything (really!) and the museum guide even commented on how she was looking at all the pictures and artifacts. He was also glad that she is going to be an organist. Oh and it was hot.

The tour guide cracked the safe for us to show us an original chalice.

  1. I'm jealous of all but the heat. We have PLENTY of that, here! I also like the shot of Evangeline w/Concordia chapel (?) in the background. It's a bit like SHE was the tour guide.

  2. I'm jealous too. We have never been to Frohna. The church is just the kind I love. Kyle looked right at home in the pulpit and Evangeline looked good in front of the organ!(cute picture of you too Ellee :)
Hope all of you (B,J,K,E,E) are enjoying the heat.
We've been keeping up with it.
    Love from Mom/Grandma C
