Today marked one month since Irene's birth. She was supposed to go to the doctor today, but Ellee came down with a horrible mom pestilence and couldn't get out. Luckily it was one of my days off, so I was able to wrangle two kids for a while. Anyways, we don't have any stats on this kid today, other than that she is wearing some mitts that help her to stop scratching her face and she appears to be hugging that pacifier animal that Evangeline never really took a liking to. Speaking of Evangeline, she appears to also have contracted some sort of disease, which we think is called Fifth Disease. This ailment is also known as slap face, slap cheek, or りんご病 in reference to the red cheeks, which she definitely has. She doesn't have much rash elsewhere though, so heres hoping. We did walk to the downtown library today though and returned a bunch of books.
Pestilence and Fifth's? Ugh. Sounds like a hard day. Look for better days ahead, eh? Take care, All. Love you.

Yerg. Throw-up sickness? WORST. Sorry. Glad you're on the mend, and that indeed no one else got it. Maybe she's just a rosy-cheeked gal? Sleeping at NIGHT? Novel! :) Big wind, extra warm here, and looking at possible freezing rain. Grg.

ReplyDeleteI hope the lotion helps. If not, a bottle of formula will not hurt Irene or you. You should probably go see a doctor. The doc will know if you can take benedryl and nurse. Better to nip it in the bud.
