Evangeline says she is growing up. I think this proves it.

Irene doesn't really say it... or anything... but she is growing up too. She has a desk and spends time with her correspondence there.

In addition to the most recent post, I'd like to give you the opportunity to view the thing I had removed. This is in response to a surprising amount of interest. It's kind of gross. And the picture isn't so great as I just took a picture of the picture with the iPad. My doctor had suggested we put a little toy car by it for perspective, but I guess he settled for the clamp thing.

We're Still Here!

Despite the lack of posts, please be assured that we are still here and doing our thing. Here is a list of some things that have been going on:

1. I'm continuing to get better. Once in a while I overdo it and pay for it the next day, but things are going well and I'm thankful for a surgery with no complications and for my mom being here to let me heal properly.

2. Grandma Becky and Baba came for a visit. Irene's feet didn't touch the floor, and Evangeline got to show off all her newest tricks.

3. Evangeline does not wear diapers during the day at all anymore. We're all thrilled.

4. Irene still isn't really talking or walking. But she's kind of talking and walking.

5. Evangeline threw up on Kyle last night.

                  We went to Ikea last week. For the first time, both girls had fun ransacking the displays.

One small step

The big news around here is that Evangeline finally got a big girl bed. After months of deliberation, I finally took off the side of her crib. So, I guess we can expect a third party in our bed now.

This chick fell asleep with her head hanging off of the brick today. I thought it was cute.

Skillz

I took this video to record Irene's music and walking skillz. She wasn't too into it.

The girls also took in some sun with grandma today.

 Then they got really dirty and grandma had to give them a mid-day bath. Which was just fine by me because Kyle and I were at the doctor for my 2 week* check-up (in which everything was declared good, with 4 more weeks until I can get back to "normal").

*I realized last night that it has only been a little more than a week since my surgery. I guess I am on the fast-track with Dr. Lowe (I did get the staples out already in the hospital). I also told Kyle and my  mom this morning that it seems like a month since I've been in the hospital, not just over a week. Time is weird.
