Since our car has something wrong with it (that only seems to go wrong when I'm driving), has 218,000 miles on it, and since we need to drive to North Carolina, we decided it was time to get a new (to us) car. Kyle found a Subaru Forester that suits us perfectly. It is red. It looks like a shoe. It only has 44,000 miles on it. It has doors that all open and windows that open. And it runs. Perfect. Thanks, parents, for helping us out.
Evangeline's new view

Camry, you served us well. For 4 years you took us around St. Louis, hundreds of times to and from Pevely, around New Orleans, evacuated us to Chattanooga from hurricane Gustav, and more. You didn't always work perfectly, you were a bit rusty, your driver's door handle was broken, and your passenger side windows did not work. Your heater barely worked, and you leaked water onto the floor. But you were $500.

We're breathing a sigh of relief!
ReplyDeleteWhooot! Fairbanks card party loooooves the Subaru!
ReplyDeleteNice job picking out just the right car for a young family on the move Kyle! It's a beaut!
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed the eulogy for the Camry. she looks so lonely there in the parking lot. But she served you well and can go on to serve another sem guy maybe.
Good going and happy driving.
