something new something old something used something plastic

Evangeline is quite interested in this newly arrived book:
She had never heard of Ἅγιος Σπυρίδων, but was quite glad to learn of his feats of silencing Arius at the first Council of Nicaea in AD 325. You can thank St. Spyridon partially for the Nicene Creed. Apparently today is his feast day.

She later came back to an old classic though... still very interested in this book of shapes.

She found a cool new game tonight. She is practicing jai alai. A ladle and plastic ball is a good place to start.

  1. You'll have to move to Miami if she gets serious about Jai Alai!

  2. No, no, Evangeline. Stay away from shapes, levers and catapults. We're raising a BOOK NERD here, not an ENGINEER! Well... maybe an engineer wouldn't be so bad, but we're thinking rather more electrical or mechanical than civil, OK? Playing Jai Alai is college is good, but we'd feel safer w/ Lacrosse. Good talk, kid.

  4. Well if it's LEGACY, that's a different story! Hooray for Architectural Engineering School!
